Sleep Sack
If you got a new member in your family or planning for a new member, you need a sleep sack.
There are different types of sleep sacks available in market.
Sleep sacks come in variety of shapes, sizes, styles, and materials, but all serve the purpose of providing your baby with a safe, comfortable and warm sleeping experience.
Sleep sack blanket let you and your baby sleep better. Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the leading cause of death among infants who are one month to one year old. There are things that can be done to reduce the risk of SIDS.
Baby sleep sack:
Baby is wrapped in the blanket which can lead to suffocation and can cause the baby loss of life due to lack of oxygen. Loose bedding can bunch up around your baby’s mouth and nose and can cause dangerous re-breathing of carbon dioxide or pose a suffocation risk.
Baby sleep sack is a wearable blanket that replaces loose blankets and top sheets in the crib for safer sleep. Sleep sack also encourages the babies to sleep on their back.
Babies should be put to sleep on their back to avoid SIDS. Baby sleep sack helps to keep the baby’s head uncovered thereby reducing the risk of suffocation.
As there will be no loose covers present in the crib, the risk of SIDS is reduced. Baby sleep sack is the safest form of bedding, provided that baby is placed in the correct sack size and is wearing suitable sleepwear.
Sleep sack allows you to put your baby on the blanket and zip it up around him or her without waking your baby. The shoulder straps then can be securely velcroed to make sure the blanket will stay put, making sure that no part of the blanket is able to accidentally cover your baby’s face.
Once you are putting the correct sleep sack, baby can sleep safely at a pleasant and constant temperature throughout the night. Depending on the type of sleep sack and the temperature of baby’s room, put the underneath clothes of your baby.
