Some experts are recommending alternative remedies for fibromyalgia treatment. The alternative treatments include acupuncture, chiropractic therapy and massage therapy.

Exercise also has positive effect on fibromyalgia syndrome. Exercises such as yoga, walking, light weight exercises and Pilates can reduce the pain. Get your body moving so that blood flows and loosens up the stiffness and reduces the pain.

Fibromyalgia diet can also free you from chronic pain condition. A balanced diet with fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, whole grains and low fat dairy products can help reduce chances of blood pressure, cancer, heart disease and other chronic conditions.

Detect any sleep disorders that are affecting the quality of sleep for the treatment of the pain. If sleep apnea in a person is controlled, there will be improvement in fibromyalgia symptoms. A good sleep hygiene should be followed and make sure that nothing can reduce sleep either in quantity or quality.

The sleep environment should be quiet and calm with optimum room temperature. Eliminate disruptive lights and sounds and sleep on comfortable mattress and pillow.
