So, there are many things that you can incorporate in your children’s lifestyle to alleviate the sleep deprivation problem. Certain most important things that you have to consider mainly include:
Adjust the lighting in their bed room!
Dim lights can mainly help to get good sleep at night. So, at bed time dim the lights in your child’s room and turn off them completely when they fall asleep.
This can help your teen to get good sleep throughout the night. Later, in the early morning, expose your teen to bright light to feel refresh.
Help them to maintain good bed time routine!
Good bed time routine is very important to get enough sleep everyday. So, encourage your teen to go to bed and wake up at the same time regularly and don’t skip this schedule even on weekends. Prioritize the extracurricular activities and try to limit late-night social time and working hours.
Don’t encourage too much caffeine!
Of course a jolt of caffeine can help your teen to stay awake during their class. But overtime, it can give very bad effect on your teen’s health. So, try to avoid it as much as possible. Instead of caffeine, find some other way to keep your teen awake during his\her class.
Incorporating these simple ways in your teen’s routine life can help them to prevent various sleep deprivation problems. Don’t encourage sleeping pills or other medications, which are not essentially recommended for adolescents.
