According to the recent studies, it has been proved that the people who are suffering with severe Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) will have more chances of obtaining heart disease risk.
In order to support this statement, a study has been conducted on 3,433 members who are suffering with restless legs syndrome and who are aged above 65 and below 68.
This study has proved that the cardiovascular health of these patients will be totally disturbed due to insufficient sleep. The insufficient sleep or disturbance in their sleep makes them to feel tense and stress in their various actions which have to be performed normally in their daily routine.
If this tension and stress occurs only once in a week, then it will not cause much affect on their heart where as, if the same situation occurs more often in a single day or in single week then certainly the impact will be seen on their heart.
The risk of obtaining several heart diseases will be more if they have high tension, stress and pressure levels more frequently in their daily routine.
The restless legs syndrome (RLS) is the syndrome which is associated with cardiovascular diseases and prevalent coronary artery disease. The people who are suffering with this RLS will perform 200 to 300 periodic leg movements in their sleep during night time.
These periodic leg movements which are performed in the night time tend to increase the heart rate and blood pressure in these people. So, due to this sudden increase of heart rate and blood pressure at night time, they will be affected with cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases.
The people who are aged above 65 must have good sleep time during nights. The resistance power and strength of their body will be less as they are becoming aged day by day.
So, they must have enough rest time in the form of sleep to make their body relaxed, otherwise some health problems (sometimes severe) will develop.
